My own fault, I failed to apply some thread lock to the motor mount grub screws. I crashed and the resultant forces stretched and snapped the wires. I replaced the prop and it was still flying after the crash, just it was dropping an arm under full power. Shows why it is important to inspect your craft carefully after a crash.  I have stretched out the wires as much as I can.  Now to scratch off as much of the protective plastic as you can. A sharp knife and something hard to push it against helps. I also used some sandpaper and a pair of pliers.  Tinned. Dodgy but should work.  My motor now works fine after this repair. Not shown here but a safe bet is to make sure this will not short out. I secured and insulated it with hot glue. |
